I competed in the Stumptown Triathlon this month. Yes, I'm a little bit crazy. I have to make sure and keep life on it's toes because god forbid I'm bored and take time to breathe. That would just be... what, normal?

Side note: Dear online peeps, friends, and readers. Thank you for being patient with me this season! I know I haven't been the most consistent blogger, but, I'm alright with that and I hope you are too. Here's the thing, I'm human. In my opinion it's ok if I'm busy living. We'll get to more blogging in the future :)

Back to the Tri. It.was.AWESOME! I never though I'd say that about a sporting event. You guys know me, I'm more of a competitive shopper and stylist then a competitive swim, bike, runner. Was I training? Yes. I actually loved the training! I've been training since May but never said anything because I'm somewhat non-committal. I didn't actually sign up for the event until 4 weeks before the race. A Sprint Tri is a half mile swim, a 12 mile bike and a 5k back to back. How does this work? There is a transition area where you leave your stuff and change in between races But you have to get outta there ASAP because it all counts as part of your time. Josh and I ran it together.... and guess who won... me!!!! BY A MERE 34 SECONDS.

Just a few fun facts about the race...
1. I was freaking out during the swim so much I swam it in 17ish minutes. I thought everyone was leaving me behind so I worked really hard to keep up.
2. I finished in 1 hours 34ish minutes.
3. I totally wore my bike helmet backward.
4. I totally forgot to take off my bike shorts for the 5k.
5. This was my first Tri... I loved it so much I might do one a year. But don't hold me to that.

The important thing is that we completed it... and of course that I beat him. I can assure you he'll never live that down :)

Huge XOXO to Emily Hall. She came to photograph us, such a sweetie!

Oh, and did I also mention we are moving. No? Well then, more on that later.
