I love the holidays. Like, looooove the holidays. I'm the annoying lady who has way too much holiday cheer then she knows what to do with. I've decorated the house right after Thanksgiving, baked cookies and wrapped gifts. I look forward to twinkle lights, and window displays. I love having a busy schedule with many people coming and going. I love the hustle and bustle.

However, what I don't love are the post holiday blues. Like, booooo the holidays are over. I'll admit they hit me every year and yesterday they hit all ay once. I try and prolong them as much as possible but yesterday they were relentless! Already! The post holiday blues had let themselves in and were settin' up camp.... Until I read this little article.

"Hearing my favorite song."

"Cooking with my husband."

"Mismatched socks."

Sitting on the couch at the end of the evening I picked up the January article of Real Simple. I've been putting it off for a few weeks - It's not January yet! Lucky for myself, and everyone who comes in my path, I came across a article for which the question was asked; "What is the one small thing that always makes you happy?" This article made me think and consider where do I find my joy? I'm willing to bet others will go through the same thing at one point in January so I believe it's relatable, right? That's what I thought.

For myself I'd say the following things always make me happy:

I'm asking you, What is the one small thing that always makes you happy?
