Lisa and Leith. They are so sweet together.

One of the most exciting parts of a wedding, to me, are the getting ready stages of the day. The anticipation is high, the planning is coming into the final stages and frankly there are a lot of elements to remember. (Where are the shoes!?) I remember my wedding day and I was a scatterbrain before I saw my groom. Pretty sure the only thing I could stomach was York Peppermint Patties and fruit. What I'm trying to say is the anticipation is endearing. I think it displays deep care and adoration for your spouse-to-be. I think it's endearing because it's real and it's authentic.

Like I said, Lisa and Leith are darling together. I could tell the excitement was high throughout the morning. Finding the shoes, last minute details of the hair and makeup. But let me tell you, the moment they saw each other their nervousness melted away just like butter on a hot toasty roll leaving warm feelings of adoration...
.... that, and a totally rocking P.A.R.T.Y! Rather then do a garter toss the single guys participated in a drinking game called "hot shots." Total Riot! It was like musical chairs but with shots AND an amazing dance-off at the end. I hope the winner didn't spend the next day on the couch because that back slam to the dance floor was amazing!!

I don't have a full list of vendors but if you are wondering about this awesome venue for a fun weekend away, It's The Allison Inn and Spa in Newberg, OR and it's yummy. I highly recommend.

What is your favorite image? Mine is the really dark vertical image where the bride is coming down the stairs and her girls are carrying the train. I love the mystery and the excitement of seeing her groom for the first time.

Oooh, amazing! My fave is the one in the chapel... it looks so enchanting and romantic, especially with the hanging lanterns, dim lighting and dramatic archway. (Although the "which shot?" picture with the guest who has a glass in each hand is a close second!) Stupendous, as usual!

My favorite has to be the opening shot of the blog post - with the winding path and a hint of the archway. Great symbolism of the journey they are about to embark upon together. And the warmth of their kiss contrasts perfectly with the coolness of the solitude and open scenery. Simply beautiful!
